VMware Cloud Availability

We provide cloud backup of VMware Cloud Availability  for Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) that allows you to replicate your data:

  • On Premises from VMware environment to our Cloud.
  • From our Cloud to On Premises environment.
  • The On Premises VMware solution simply integrates with our cloud service and no special solutions is required.
  • Solution that offers maximum protection and availability by keeping data in different locations.
  • ISO27001 / 9001 certified secure data center and service located in Estonia.
  • Self-controlled and managed service with adjustable RTO / RPO value from 5Min.
  • Automatic emergency reset with one click.

VMware Cloud Availability is a powerful backup, replication, migration, and disaster recovery tool. In addition to the mutual protection of WaveCom data centres, it enables backing up data onto its vSphere platform and from an individual platform to the WaveCom cloud. All this is feasible in a regular Cloud directory environment, which is also the management platform for virtual machines and other cloud services.

Launching VMware Cloud Availability takes only a few minutes. Thereafter, the client can use the environment to view the backup of all their servers on a single screen, whether there are one or fifty servers. Data backup by replication is performed by pre-determined automation. Smart replication moves only the altered data blocks. Unlike most virtualization backup software solutions, replication does not use snapshots, which tend to freeze the discs of larger servers and often cause errors in databases and applications.

VMware Cloud Availability is good against software failures or malware. When a crypto virus enters a company's data, the rewind button can be used to scroll the servers to where they want to go before the virus invades. This can be done by the user in the Cloud Director portal in a few clicks in a few minutes.

The data is retained exactly as specified by the customer, for example, data that was backed up 24 days ago can be retrieved, regardless of what has been done with that data. The RPO / RTO is from 1 minute, ie the servers can replicate the changed blocks every 1 minute, which ensures exceptional data availability. Because the maximum of 24 recording points can be reached very quickly in 1 min of RPO, it is possible to use up to five RPO rules at a time when building a single recovery process. For example:

  • 2 instances at 1 min intervals - Retention period: 2 min.
  • 8 instances at 10 min intervals - Retention period: 80 min.
  • 10 instances at 1 hour intervals - Retention period: 10 hours.
  • 2 instances at 3 days intervals - Retention period: 6 days.
  • 2 instances at 2 months intervals - Retention period: 4 months.

In case of major problems, the disaster recovery and migration plan protocols can be pre-configured, which will start up to 50 virtual machines in about 5 minutes. You can even fine-tune the priority and order of the execution settings for virtual machines and vApp´ replications. After configuring the Cloud NSX edge gateway VPN, the entire virtual data center is instantly available in an alternate location. If necessary, the disaster recovery protocol can be tested even daily. Only the recovery simulation is performed and the backup continues to run.
